Systems Planning and Analysis Inc.

Systems Planning and Analysis Inc. (SPA) is a privately-held U.S. government contracting firm working across the defence, intelligence and homeland security markets.[i] SPA describes itself as a “critical partner” to the U.S. Navy’s nuclear armed Columbia Class submarine program since 2005, contributing “across all aspects of technology development, design, manufacturing and readiness”.[ii] Its website also mentions that SPA provides expertise to Nuclear Command, Control and Communications.[iii] In January 2026, SPA was awarded a $67.5 million contract for
support and engineering services related to the Trident II (D5) programme.[iv] SPA also has an outstanding contract to provide program support for the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear-Armed Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N).[v] SPA also provides engineering and programmatic support for nuclear weapons system safety.[vi]
